The polar caps on Mars - the huge area of the carbon dioxide with a mixture of dust and frozen water, which is so great that even visible from Earth. The polar caps are subject to strong seasonal fluctuations, strongly proliferating in the Martian winter and "contracting" with the arrival of spring. The biggest cap is currently located at the north pole of Mars.
